Tarot Cards That Signal Deception and Concern

What a strange week this has been. I’ve had to remove comments on posts, review security and change passwords because of scammers and I just feel on high alert. Hence the inspiration for today’s topic. While reading for myself, I am often using tarot as a tool for self-reflection and understanding, but sometimes, it can also serve as a warning system. Certain cards can indicate potential deception, heartbreak, or challenges ahead.

I’ve had all of the cards below pop up from time to time, and I’ve learned to heed their warnings. Rather than sit in worry, they are meant to be a nudge to pay attention! Look and listen a little bit more diligently to what is going on around you and trust your intuition when it comes to evaluating situations and making decisions. Let’s delve into a few of these cards that might cause a stir in your reading.

The Moon: Illusion and Uncertainty

Often depicted as a mysterious and ethereal card, The Moon carries with it a sense of illusion and uncertainty. When this card appears in your reading, it’s a sign that something isn’t as it seems. There might be hidden truths, fear-based decisions, or emotional turmoil lurking beneath the surface. Heed the warning, trust your intuition and dig deeper to uncover the underlying issues.

The Three of Swords: Heartbreak and Loss

This card is a painful one, representing heartbreak, sorrow, and emotional pain. It can signify a recent loss, a betrayal, or a deep sense of disappointment. I have personally labeled this card ‘confusion of the heart,’ and a painful confusion at that. While it’s a challenging card to receive, it’s important to remember that healing and growth often follow periods of sorrow.

The Seven of Swords: Deception and Betrayal

The Seven of Swords is a clear indicator of deception, betrayal, or dishonesty. It suggests that someone might be hiding something from you or trying to manipulate a situation. The individual in this card is leaving the village with all the swords in their possession (Rider Waite). This card can also point to self-deception or a fear of facing the truth.

The High Priestess: Everything is Not Yet Revealed

The High Priestess is a clear indicator that more information is needed. Simply put, the situation or individual is veiled, and you do not have clear vision or knowing. Whenever I encounter the High Priestess, I know that there are facts in the situation that have not yet been revealed to me, but they will be in time and I need to sit tight until then.

Remember: While these cards can be alarming, they don’t necessarily predict a negative outcome. If you encounter one of these cards in a reading, move past any fear and instead be thankful for the wake-up call to pay attention to your surroundings and trust your instincts. How these cards manifest in your life depends on the surrounding cards and the context of your question.
