Reclaiming Your Power Post-Mercury Retrograde

How are you feeling today? My day feels like a race to get all the loose ends exposed over the course of Mercury’s backwards trek neatly tied up so I can move forward in peace! The energy is amped up to a frazzle, I thought I had these things completed, but much to my chagrin, I seem to be wrong and Mercury is ‘lovingly’ letting me know. Take a deep breath. Let out a BIG sigh…

As we emerge from the turbulent waters of Mercury retrograde, it’s time to reflect on the lessons learned and reclaim our power. This mid-week meditation invites you to connect with your inner strength and realign with your authentic self.

Meditation Guide:

  1. Find a Quiet Space: Seek a peaceful environment where you won’t be disturbed. Light a candle or incense if it helps you create a calming atmosphere.
  2. Connect to your breath. Begin with a deep breath, inhaling through your nose, holding for a few seconds, then exhale slowly through your mouth. After a few deep breaths like this, continue at a pace that resonates with you.
  3. Ground Yourself: Next connect to the earth. Imagine your roots extending deep into the ground, anchoring you to the present moment.
  4. Visualize the Retrograde: Picture the Mercury retrograde as a storm that has passed. See the clouds clearing, revealing a brighter sky.
  5. Release and Let Go: Imagine any lingering negativity, fear, or doubt associated with the retrograde being washed away by a gentle stream. Release these emotions, allowing them to flow freely.
  6. Reclaim Your Power: Visualize yourself standing tall and confident. Feel your inner strength and resilience growing. Affirmations like “I am powerful,” “I am in control,” and “I am aligned with my true self” can be helpful.
  7. Connect with Your Higher Self: Imagine your higher self, a wise and loving guide, reaching out to you. Feel their presence and allow their energy to fill you with peace and clarity.
  8. Ground Yourself Again: As you prepare to end the meditation, re-ground yourself by focusing on your roots and connection to the earth.

Post-Meditation Reflection:

Take a few moments to journal about your experience. What did you learn during the retrograde? How do you feel now that it’s (mostly) over? What steps can you take to continue reclaiming your power and aligning with your authentic self?

The end of a Mercury retrograde is not the end of a journey, but rather a new beginning. By taking time for self-reflection and meditation, you can emerge stronger, wiser, and more empowered.
