A Study of the Emperor #4 in Tarot
Today’s blog post is back to the Tarot. The language of tarot cards is written in the symbols on the cards themselves. A reader learns the cards through a combination of memorizing the meanings, understanding the symbols, practicing, practicing and more practicing, and finally, listening to their intuition. At least that’s how it’s worked for me. Whenever I write about a specific card, I cover relevant symbols and then interpretations. I also use the Rider Waite deck for reference because that’s what I read with.
Today we’re looking at the Emperor. As a major arcana, it will hold significance in a reading. It can represent a specific person, like father, partner or boss, or it can represent the embodiment of that type of energy, depending on the position and the question. The Emperor card in tarot is often associated with authority, stability, and groundedness. It represents a strong and reliable figure, much like a father or a king. This post will cover some of the prominent symbolism and interpretation of this powerful card.
