My Five Favorite Blue Crystals

I love crystals and have for a very long time, however, I’m not an expert at crystal healing and my collection is very much driven by what felt good on the day I walked into the crystal shop! My method of crystal study has been to shop first and look up later. Perhaps someday I’ll get through all the crystal healing books I have in my collection. 😉  A look at my collection today, with my big beautiful blue apatite heart, served as inspiration for today’s post.

Among the many colors that crystals come in, blue holds a special place in the world of energy healing. In this blog post, I’ll share my five favorite blue crystals: Blue Apatite, Lapis Lazuli, Larimar, Angelite, and Blue Calcite. 1. Blue Apatite

Geophysical Properties:
Blue Apatite is a form of apatite mineral that can range from pale blue to a vibrant, electric blue. It is typically found in regions like Brazil, Mexico, and Madagascar. Apatite is a phosphate mineral, and its striking blue hues are often attributed to trace amounts of copper.

Healing Properties:
Blue Apatite is known as a crystal of manifestation, helping to activate the third eye and throat chakras. It is often used to enhance communication, both with oneself and with others. This crystal is also believed to aid in weight loss and clearing negative energies. It has a stimulating energy that helps to clear mental fog and promotes mental clarity and focus.

2. Lapis Lazuli

Geophysical Properties:
Lapis Lazuli is a deep blue metamorphic rock made up of lazurite, calcite, and pyrite. This stone has been prized for thousands of years, especially in ancient Egypt, where it was used to craft jewelry and amulets. The rich blue color with golden flecks of pyrite gives Lapis its unique and captivating appearance.

Healing Properties:
Lapis Lazuli is often called the “Stone of Wisdom” and is known for its powerful connection to the higher realms. It helps enhance spiritual awareness and activates the third eye and crown chakras. It promotes intellectual clarity, stimulates memory, and encourages self-expression and authenticity. Lapis Lazuli is also excellent for clearing blockages in communication and promoting truthfulness.

3. Larimar

Geophysical Properties:
Larimar is a rare blue variety of the mineral pectolite, found only in the Dominican Republic. Its soft, milky blue color with white swirls makes it one of the most beautiful stones in the blue crystal family. It is believed to be formed from volcanic activity, and its energy is deeply connected to the element of water.

Healing Properties:
Larimar is a highly soothing and calming stone that connects to the energy of the sea and the divine feminine. It is often used for emotional healing, particularly for releasing past trauma and stress. Larimar is also great for activating the throat and heart chakras, making it a powerful stone for emotional communication. Its gentle, nurturing energy promotes peace and emotional balance.

True to its name, Angelite is often used to connect with the angelic realms and higher spiritual planes. This was one of my first crystal purchases and I often meditate on this before using my any of my Angel oracle decks. It promotes peaceful communication and helps in making deeper spiritual connections. Angelite is especially helpful for enhancing intuitive abilities, improving psychic clarity, and facilitating communication with one’s spirit guides. It also supports emotional healing, helping to release past wounds and fostering a sense of peace and serenity.

5. Blue Calcite

Healing Properties:

It is also known for its ability to ease stress and promote relaxation, making it a perfect crystal for calming anxiety and bringing peace to the mind.
