Listening for Divine Messages

Have you ever felt a sudden, inexplicable pull towards a certain song? Or perhaps you’ve noticed a recurring animal appearing in your life? These may be subtle signs that the spirit world is trying to communicate with you.

I have had all these experiences and then some! Of the clearest messages I’ve had was hearing the song Bizarre Love Triangle by New Order at least three different times within an outing lasting less than an hour. When I say clear, it is clear in hindsight because I didn’t really want to hear the message. The person I was ‘crazy about’ was pursuing my best friend behind my back. It was awful at the time, but with even greater hindsight, I know that it all worked out for the best and the two of them did me a favor. But this is for me, one of the clearest moments that spirit was using whatever method it could to get my attention. It’s been nearly 30 years and I remember clear as day how I felt on that third play of the song. My ears perked up and my eyes opened just a little wider.

• Pay attention to the animal’s behavior. Is it acting strangely or behaving in a way that catches your attention? This could be a sign that it’s trying to deliver a message.

• Consider the source of the scent. Is it a familiar perfume or a unique fragrance?

The spirit world communicates in many ways. By paying attention to the subtle signs and symbols around you, you can deepen your connection to the divine and receive guidance and support.
