  • The Magi’s Journey: The story of the Magi’s arduous journey, guided by a star, symbolizes the pursuit of truth and the divine.
  • Gifts of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh: These gifts hold symbolic significance: gold for royalty, frankincense for divinity, and myrrh for mortality.
  • Celebrations:
    • Parades: Colorful processions featuring elaborate floats depicting the Magi and their journey are a common sight.
    • Rosca de Reyes: A traditional sweet bread often hides a small figurine representing the baby Jesus. Whoever finds the figurine is responsible for hosting a celebration on Candlemas Day (February 2nd).
    • Leaving Shoes Out: Children often leave their shoes out on the eve of Three Kings Day, hoping to find treats left by the Magi.
