The Power of Ginger, Turmeric, Cloves, Cinnamon, and Honey
We have recently had a wave of illness sweep through my home. First my son came down with a stomach flu or virus which took a couple days to work through him. Next up, my partner, Neil, had what I believe was norovirus, or at least it had similar symptoms. While he was nearly recovered, my son became ill again! What’s amazing is that through all this, I have managed to stay virus/flu free, knock on wood.
I do have a cold, but I’m currently not experiencing any of the symptoms my family had. I believe that this is because I drink tea with honey, lemon, ginger and turmeric daily. I have also started drinking tea with oranges, cloves and cinnamon; good for the tummy, as a preventative measure. Staying healthy is important, so I thought I would share more about these spices and their benefits in today’s post.
