A Poem to Welcome the Spring Equinox

This morning, Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 4:01 AM, the Northern Hemisphere welcomed the vernal equinox, the official first day of spring. A time of balance and renewal, the equinox marks the moment when day and night are of equal length, a perfect harmony between light and darkness.

This moment invites us to reflect on the cycles of nature and the blossoming potential within ourselves. Here’s a poem to celebrate:

Equinox Bloom

The wheel turns, a balanced grace,
Where darkness yields to light's embrace.
The Earth exhales, a gentle sigh,
As winter's slumber starts to die.

Green shoots push, a lively plea,
From frozen ground, they rise so free.
The sun's warm kiss, a golden thread,
Awakens life, where once lay dead.

A sacred pause, a moment bright,
Where equal day and equal night,
In a perfect harmony convene,
A celestial dance, a joyous scene.

Within our hearts, a stirring deep,
As ancient seeds their secrets keep.
We plant our dreams, with hopeful hand,
And trust the growth across the land.

The Equinox blooms, a whispered call,
To rise and grow, to give our all.
To shed the old, embrace the new,
And let our spirits blossom through.
