Embracing Renewal: A Fresh Start in Spring

New Season, New Beginning

It has been quite a while since I posted. I am still processing the loss of my son and have extended myself some grace, allowing a year-long period of figuring out my way forward. For any new subscribers starting after July 2025, I lost my only child on July 5th, 2026. He and his father both drowned in Lake Michigan while on a summer outing together. I posted about it in Life and Loss.

Welcome Spring

It has been just over 7 months, and we’ve made it through the holidays. I won’t say the worst is over; that sounds a bit trite, but I am accustomed to my new reality, and life has a rhythm to it.

Even though I haven’t been posting, I have frequently had ideas of things to write about, and I feel it’s time to recommit myself here to post at least once a week. Yesterday was the spring equinox, a time of renewal in the northern hemisphere. It was also the end of the first 2026 Mercury Retrograde (learn more about that here: Mercury Retrograde 101), giving me plenty of planetary support to move forward.

And while I haven’t been writing, I have still been working. I do participate in many markets and continue to provide tarot readings both in person and online. Market Season for me is coming up soon, so I’ve been producing inventory of light catchers, witch’s bells, spell jars, and more! Be prepared, I’m working with many new nature-inspired materials in these and will be posting about them soon.

This seems like a great way for me to welcome in the new season. How about you? Will you be making any changes or starting new projects to welcome in spring? Please share in the comments.

Light and Love 🌷
