Stepping Away for a Moment of Reflection (and Family!)
I’m writing to let you know that I’ll be taking a short pause from posting for the next five days. My son and I are heading to rural Missouri for his spring break, a chance to step away from the daily grind and reconnect with family.

We’ll be spending time with my niece and her partner, enjoying some much-needed downtime. While I’m not expecting a whirlwind of entertainment, I’m looking forward to the simple pleasures: quality time with loved ones, a hotel pool my son is already dreaming of, a change of scenery and some warmer weather.
Perhaps most exciting for me is the opportunity to take a day trip to the area where my grandparents once lived. It’s a place steeped in childhood memories, and I’m eager to revisit those familiar landscapes, drive past their old house, and see the lake that held so much magic for me as a child. It’s a trip that promises nostalgia and a chance to reflect on the vistas that connect us to our past.
This trip is about bonding, relaxation, and a gentle shift in perspective. So, I’ll be putting down the pen (or keyboard, rather) for a few days, unless some particularly profound insight compels me to share.
If you’re also enjoying spring break, I hope you’re making the most of it, whatever that looks like for you. May your days be filled with peace and joy.
Light and Love ❤ See you in five days!
